noone will turn on the news or sign on to the internet over the next couple of weeks without seeing the headlines covering the Arizona shooting. We all admit it's pretty fucked up that someone opened fire on a gathering of innocent people, but the manifestation of this man's beliefs and feelings about our current society is just one of the many cues echoing that we as a nation need to wake the fuck up. get your head out of the clouds and the likes of shows such as jersey shore and other such shit and be in the know about what's going on. what's been going on for the last ten years or more. I don't understand how we hold candlelight vigils for five people who die yet we fail to recognize the thousands of citizens dying on the other side of the world as a result of our terrorism. I am of course making generalizations because I realize that many US citizens are becoming more aware, but most of us have no fucking clue. (and we don't care so long as we have oil to put gas in our mini-vans with the five "support our troops" magnetic ribbons on the bumper.)
