so we are finally in our new place with only a few minor trip-ups. having finally moved all of our stuff up from the old place, we are little by little making it our own. it's a gem of a place and albeit it being a little rough on the edges in some ways, it's perfect for us. it already seems like we've been here for some time and it has only been about 3 weeks. despite the disarray of books, tools, and boxes on the inside, I do want to share a picture of our lovely patio/porch area (although it's not really a porch since there is no step-down per se). initially there was white lattice separating our patio from the drive-way and street area, we added some reed-fencing to that to make it a little more private.
