all in a day's work

today I spent literally 10 minutes explaining the words "excrement" and then "bowel movement" all because of an article making a comparison. just imagine this please and then imagine one of my quieter students all of sudden piping up out of the blue with "shit jenipah, i think you mean shit." All I can think is this really happening to me? Did this kid really say shit, when I've spent ten minutes trying to work my way around that word?
